Acquetico is a small, authentic village belonging to the municipality of Pieve di Teco. Away from the major tourist resorts, it offers a quieter and more genuine experience of Liguria.

The surrounding landscape is characterised by wooded slopes, olive groves and mountain paths. One of the village's distinctive landmarks is the historic Church of San Giacomo, which, together with other historic buildings, reflects the heritage of this small mountain community.

Hiking in the Valle Arroscia and the Ligurian Alps

The area around Casa Laetitia offers many opportunities to discover Liguria on foot. Alongside mountain and woodland trails, the valley is crossed by historic paths and former mule tracks that once connected the villages and settlements of the region.

The area around Mendatica is particularly attractive for hiking. The village is approximately 15 kilometres from Acquetico via the SP3. From Mendatica, a marked circular trail leads to the Cascate dell’Arroscia and onwards via Case Pian del Lago before returning to Mendatica.

The official route takes around four hours and covers approximately 372 metres of elevation gain. This makes the region suitable for everything from shorter walks nearby to more demanding hikes in the Ligurian Alps.
